Layne Storia, a 25-year-old from Brisbane, Australia, reflects on his diverse career path and remarkable achievements.

From Sawdust to Sweat

Transitioning from carpentry, Lane briefly explored real estate as a buyer's agent before settling into his current role as a studio manager at a recovery lab.

Lane's journey into endurance sports began after discovering the mental toughness challenge known as 75 Hard. This transformative experience ignited his passion for running and paved the way for his entry into triathlon and other endurance pursuits.

Conquering Limits

Inspired by the legendary feats of athletes like the Iron Cowboy, Lane set his sights on breaking records. He embarked on a mission to challenge the world record for the most consecutive half Ironmans, pushing himself beyond perceived limits.

Undeterred by the daunting task ahead, Lane embraced the rigorous training regimen required to tackle 36 half Ironmans in 36 days. Enduring physical and mental obstacles, he remained steadfast in his pursuit of excellence.

Crafting a Routine of Resilience

Throughout his grueling challenge, Lane adhered to a disciplined routine, rising before dawn to commence each day's swim, bike, and run sessions. Despite facing adversity, including inclement weather and technical mishaps, Lane persisted with unwavering determination.

In addition to his personal goals, Lane dedicated his efforts to raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis Australia, drawing inspiration from individuals battling the condition. Their resilience served as a poignant reminder of the power of empathy and the importance of giving back.

Reflecting on his journey, Lane recognizes the transformative power of pushing beyond perceived limits. His experiences serve as a testament to the boundless potential within each individual and the capacity for growth, both personally and philanthropically.
